Job summary

Sunbelt Federal Credit Union in Mississippi is seeking a Universal Service Representative to perform teller and lending related tasks with accuracy and timeliness. The role involves cash handling, opening new accounts, account maintenance, and operating an Interactive Teller Machine (ITM).

Qualifications

• Fluency in English required.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Effective communication with ability to multi-task while maintaining attention to detail and operating several computer programs.
• Knowledge of, or the ability to quickly learn banking software applications.
• Working knowledge of SFCU’s products, services, policies and procedures.
• Understanding of federal laws and regulations that govern financial institutions.
• Basic understanding of computer applications and software
• Must possess strong basic math skills, accuracy and attention to detail
• High School Graduate or Equivalent (GED).

Responsibilities

• Handles teller transactions, cash handling and account maintenance.
• Opens new savings, checking and money market accounts; verifies IDs.
• Assesses member needs and cross-sells appropriate loan and deposit products.
• Maintains cash drawer balance and adheres to policy.
• Assists with loan applications and underwriting processes per policies.
• Supports ITM operations and provides video teller assistance when required.
• Delivers excellent service and protects member privacy.
