Job summary

The YMCA of Central Massachusetts welcomes members with a friendly front desk presence, guiding visitors and answering questions while upholding safety and YMCA policies. As Welcome Center Associate, you will support member services, assist with administrative tasks, and participate in staff meetings and campaigns, ensuring every guest feels valued.

Part-time role, minimum age 16, requires basic computer skills and strong customer service; ASL is preferred; CPR/First Aid may be required within

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Basic understanding of computer and administrative skills.
• At least 1 year of customer service experience.
• Strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the culture of exceptional member service.
• Ensure proper front desk procedures are implemented and revised as needed.
• Demonstrate excellence in sales and new member materials, presentation, and service.
• Support the Membership Director in administrative duties.
• Attend quarterly staff meetings for welcome center staff.
• Provide excellent member service by greeting members by name and handling requests at the front desk.
• Provide leadership in building on medical emergencies.
• Enter member cancellations and provide follow-up calls.
• Follow up for complimentary pass users and inquiries on ymcaofcm.org.
• Participate in staff meetings and association tasks and initiatives.
• Play a role in the Annual Campaign.
• Assist in other areas as deemed necessary.
