Wings Credit Union in Maple Grove, MN is hiring a full-time Member Services Specialist to acquire, expand, and enrich member relationships. You will educate members, open accounts, cross-sell products, and provide notarial and mortgage-related support.

Expect a collaborative team, strong sales goals, and community involvement. Key requirements include a HS diploma, 1 year of customer service or retail banking experience, cash handling, and MS Office proficiency.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required, some college preferred.
• 1 year member service or retail banking experience preferred.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Knowledge of banking and/or credit union regulations preferred.
• Experience recommending products to improve a member’s financial position preferred.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality of service.
• Excellent member service skills with a member-focused mindset.
• Acts as part of a cohesive team with strong people skills.
• Proficient with MS Office and general office equipment.
• Comfortable with self-service technology.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail with integrity.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and non-verbal).
• Must obtain Mortgage Loan Originator qualifier (NMLS) and complete background/ fingerprint checks.
• Notary license required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Assist members with deposits, withdrawals, openings, service requests, and credit applications.
• Educate members on product features and cross-sell loans, deposits, and fees.
• Build trust with members through a consultative approach.
• Maintain a healthy sales pipeline and schedule follow-ups.
• Refer members to financial experts as needed.
• Resolve moderately complex member issues with other departments.
• Exceed established sales goals.
• Provide notary services and verify identity.
• Support the branch community at Wings events.
• Follow risk and compliance policies to safeguard assets and privacy.
• Assist Retail Delivery teams; travel may be required.
• Perform other duties as needed.
