Job summary

YMCA of the Triangle is seeking a Member Engagement Specialist to create a welcoming atmosphere, drive sales, and connect members with programs that reflect the Y’s mission. The role involves supporting Welcome Center operations, coordinating tours, and promoting community involvement.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years in customer service or sales, strong communication, and proficiency with CRM tools. Flexibility for weekends and varied shifts is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required; 1–2 years in customer service or sales preferred.
• Professional demeanor with customer-focused approach.
• Strong computer skills and ability to use CRM/personify platforms.
• Excellent communication and follow-up skills; able to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Models relationship-building in all interactions and drives member connectivity.
• Handles tours, sales, Y Connects, and membership initiatives.
• Provides member advocacy and concierge services while on duty.
• Supports Welcome Center, desks, gym, and wellness floor for quality service.
• Collaborates with Directors on engagement improvements and staff training.
