Job summary

Bickford Senior Living in Burlington, IA is seeking a Medication Technician to support resident care by accurately administering daily medications and upholding residents’ dignity. The role includes evening and overnight shifts with rotating weekends and a path to comprehensive benefits for full-time staff.

Responsibilities include following MAR, using eMAR, and collaborating with clinical leadership to ensure safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician certification or 1+ year senior care experience.
• Approved Medication Manager Certificate from the Department of Inspection and Appeals.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to learn and use eMAR for med administration.

Responsibilities

• Follow MAR and physician orders to administer medications.
• Adhere to Six Rights of medication administration and policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for guidance on patient care.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise other team members as needed.
• Demonstrate the mission and lead by example on shift.
