Bickford Senior Living is seeking a Medication Technician to support resident care and administer daily medications with compassion and dignity at our Marion, IA location. Role includes following physician orders, leveraging the eMAR system, and leading by example in a care-focused environment.

The position offers day and evening shifts with competitive pay starting at $19.25/hour and a full benefits package for eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Active Medication Technician Certification or at least one year of experience in the care of seniors.
• Must have an approved Medication Manager Certificate from the Department of Inspection and Appeals
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Willing to take additional training or education, which states may require.
• CPR and First Aid certifications are required.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Good judgment, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to utilize or learn Bickford’s eMAR system to administer medications.

Responsibilities

• Accurately following the resident MAR to ensure medications are given per physician orders.
• Follow Six rights of medication administration and Bickford policies.
• Utilize the eMAR system for medication administration.
• Communicate with clinical leadership for guidance on medication administration and care.
• Provide direct resident care and supervise non-licensed team members as needed.
• Model the Bickford Mission on shift.
