Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Med Tech to provide quality care and assist with daily living activities in Roanoke, Virginia. The role includes medication administration within scope, documentation in EMAR/MAR, and close collaboration with the nursing team.

Requirements include a CNA and Med Tech license, a Medication Aide Course completion, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain), and a commitment to resident safety and confidentiality. Equal Opportunity Employer.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess both current CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.
• Must pass medication observations and cart audits.
• Must communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Must be organized and able to work with all levels of staff.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to become certified within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality care and assist with activities of daily living.
• Administer prescribed medications within scope of practice and document in EMAR/MAR.
• Maintain knowledge of policies and procedures and report incidents.
• Assist residents with meals, mobility, and transfers as needed.
• Complete medication cart audits and coordinate with pharmacy as required.
• Communicate resident status and needs to the health care team and families.
• Attend required in-services and staff meetings; support a calm, safe environment.
