Job summary

Harmony Senior Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated Medication Tech (Med Tech) for a Full-Time daytime shift in Roanoke, VA. The role involves assisting residents with daily living activities, administering prescribed medications within scope, and maintaining accurate documentation in EMAR/MAR.

You will collaborate with the nursing team to ensure safety and high-quality care. Qualifications include a High School Diploma or GED, completion of the Medication Aide Course, and current CNA and Med

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course and hold CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.
• Must satisfactorily pass 2 medication observations annually and all medication cart audits.
• Must be CPR/First Aid certified, or willing to become certified within 60 days of hire.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and assist in transfers; flexible schedule including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living for residents.
• Assist with administration of prescribed medications within scope of practice.
• Maintain policies and procedures and document in EMAR/MAR.
• Report incidents and care concerns to RN/LPN, HCD, or ED as applicable.
• Complete medication cart audits and maintain cart as directed.
• Communicate medication needs to the HCD and document in Daily Log.
• Re-order medications and liaise with pharmacy and families as needed.
• Assist residents to dining and activities and support move-in transitions.
