Job summary

Harmony Senior Services seeks a dedicated Medication Aide to assist with prescribed medications and resident activities in Roanoke, VA. You will follow policies, support daily living tasks, and report any concerns to nursing staff while maintaining resident safety and confidentiality.

The role requires CPR/First Aid certification, completion of the Medication Aide Course, and valid CNA/Med Tech licenses. The position offers a competitive hourly wage with weekend and holiday flexibility.

Qualifications

• Must have High School Diploma or GED.
• Must have completed the Medication Aide Course.
• Must possess CNA and Med Tech licenses in good standing.
• Must pass medication observations annually.
• Must pass medication cart audits and complete in-services.

Responsibilities

• Assists with administration of prescribed medications.
• Assists residents with activities of daily living.
• Reports incidents to appropriate individuals.
• Performs housekeeping duties as directed.
• Responds to resident calls and emergencies.
• Assists in activity planning for residents.
• Documents medication administration and EMAR/MAR accurately.
• Re-orders medications and communicates with pharmacy and families.
