Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is seeking a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will assist with basic health care needs, document outcomes, and support wellness activities in a compassionate setting.

Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse, record vital signs, and communicate changes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 18 preferred; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Annual state competency testing and continuing education requirements.
• State CMA/CNA certification required or as specified by state.

Responsabilités

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse.
• Administer medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and document outcomes.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with housekeeping, dining support, and participation in wellness programs.
• Support and participate in department committees as needed.
