Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is seeking a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living support under the supervision of a charge nurse. This role includes assisting with basic health care needs, vital signs, and daily activities to create a positive living environment for residents.

Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse, document outcomes, and communicate changes to the charge nurse.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• CNA certification with active state registration; CMA training if CMA path chosen.
• Minimum age 18; prior long-term care experience preferred.
• Must meet state-specific continuing education and renewals.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living support.
• Administer medications as delegated by a licensed nurse and document outcomes.
• Record vital signs, changes in condition, and care-related communications.
