Job summary

Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD seeks a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will assist with basic health care needs, document vital signs, and support wellness initiatives in a caring Christian environment.

Administer prescribed medications as delegated, maintain care records, and communicate changes to the charge nurse.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Annual continuing education credits required according to state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document outcomes related to resident care, medication administration, and vital signs.
• Assist with housekeeping and laundry to maintain clean living areas.
