Job summary

Good Samaritan Canistota is hiring a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under a charge nurse. You will assist with bathing, grooming, meals, and vital signs, while ensuring a positive dining and living experience for residents.

The role requires training in state-approved CMA/TMA certification where applicable, and involves transferring residents safely, monitoring health changes, and supporting wellness activities.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred.
• Complete yearly competency testing and continuing education credits as required by state.
• CMA/TMA certification per state practice may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Document care, med administration, behavior, and dietary outcomes.
