Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age 18; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Annual competency testing and continuing education credits required (12 hours yearly).
• State CMA/CNA certification requirements vary by state; CMA/TMA certification may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision.
• Administers prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Documents care outcomes, medication administration, and changes in resident condition.
• Assists with dining, mobility, hygiene, and participates in wellness activities.
