Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is hiring a Medication Assistant (MA) to provide resident-centered nursing care under a charge nurse’s supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, administer medications as delegated, document outcomes, and support wellness programs.

Typical shift is day, full-time 40 hours weekly, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus and location premiums plus shift differentials. Training and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum age of 18 preferred.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification must be maintained with the State Board of Nursing (state-specific).
• A CMA/TMA certification may be required in some states.

Responsibilities

• Administers prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Provides resident-centered nursing care and activities of daily living.
• Documents outcomes related to care, medications, behavior, and dietary.
• Communicates changes in condition to the charge nurse.
• Assists with transfers, mobility, and range of motion exercises.
