Job summary

Oak Street Health in Cincinnati is seeking a Patient Relations Analyst to educate patients about Medicare programs, resources, and affordable insurance options, aiming to improve access to care and retention.

Analysts act as clinic insurance experts, guiding patients through Medicare choices, benefits, and eligibility, while supporting care and outreach teams. This role reports to the Associate Patient Relations Manager or Practice Manager and requires strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ability to navigate Gmail, Word/Docs, Excel and similar programs.
• US work authorization required.
• Spanish/Polish/Russian or other languages beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with navigating Medicare and insurance issues, including coverage and eligibility.
• Serve as an internal resource on insurance questions for providers and staff.
• Help patients navigate the healthcare system and resolve medical bills as an advocate.
• Build trust with patients to advise on healthcare coverage.
• Manage welcome visits and orientation for new patients.
• Educate patients on applying for public benefits and Extra Help for prescriptions.
• Support clinic management with scheduling and billing tasks.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Foster patient engagement through events and center tours.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
