Job summary

Oak Street Health is seeking a Patient Relations Analyst to educate patients about Medicare programs and insurance options to improve access to care and retention. You will advocate for patients navigating insurance and bills while supporting care and outreach teams.

You will assist with benefits education, public assistance programs, and center orientation, with a focus on delivering exceptional service in a patient-centered environment.

Qualifications

• Required Qualifications: Computer Skills to navigate multiple programs (Gmail, MS Word/Google Docs, Excel).
• US work authorization is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with navigating Medicare and insurance issues including coverage, benefits, summaries, eligibility and maximizing plan value.
• Serve as internal resource in the clinic on insurance questions for providers and staff.
• Help patients navigate the healthcare system and resolve medical bills, advocating for the patient.
• Gain trust of patients to properly advise on healthcare coverage.
• Manage welcome visits and orientation for new patients.
• Educate patients on applying for public benefits (e.g., Public Aid, Extra Help for prescriptions).
• Support clinic management on operational activities including scheduling and billing.
• Provide exceptional customer service.
• Foster patient engagement through events and center tours.
• Other duties as assigned.
