Job summary

UMass Memorial Health is seeking a Medical Technologist II for Core Chemistry in Worcester, MA. This on-site, full-time role supports 3pm-11:30pm shifts with a 40-hour workweek. Applicants should have an Associate’s degree in clinical lab science (MLT) or a Bachelor’s degree in sciences and meet CLIA high-complexity criteria.

ASCP certification is preferred; a signing bonus may be available. Qualified candidates will join a large health system dedicated to patient care, research, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in clinical lab science (MLT) or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in sciences with qualifying coursework meeting high complexity testing requirements per CLIA.

Responsibilities

• Follow established protocols to perform a wide range of tests in an assigned area.
• Ensure test results meet the laboratory quality control requirements.
• Interpret and correlate clinical test results with patient history to explain normal/abnormal findings.
• Ensure preventative maintenance for equipment in the assigned area.
• Maintain accurate records of tests performed using computer-based systems.
