Qualifications

• Associates degree from a clinical lab science program (MLT) or Bachelor's degree in sciences.
• Degree and coursework must meet high complexity testing per CLIA Sec. 493.1487.
• ASCP certification as an MLT/MT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follows established protocols to perform a wide range of tests in an assigned area.
• References supervisor for complex or unusual results interpretation.
• Ensures test results meet the laboratory quality control requirements.
• Interprets and correlates clinical test results with patient history to explain results.
• Maintains preventative maintenance for equipment in the assigned area.
• Performs routine troubleshooting and modification of complex equipment.
• Maintains accurate records of tests performed using computer-based systems.
