Job summary

UMass Memorial Health in Marlborough, MA is seeking a Laboratory Technologist to join the Core Lab team. The role performs a variety of laboratory tests across Hematology, Chemistry, Blood Bank, Immunology or Microbiology, under the supervision of area heads.

The position is 40 hours per week with an evening shift 3:00pm–11:30pm, requiring on-call and holiday scheduling. A Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology and three years of related experience are required; ASCP certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or equivalent is required.
• Three years of related laboratory experience.
• ASCP MT certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of laboratory tests and reports data for diagnosis and treatment.
• Operates and maintains instruments; performs quality control and logs maintenance.
• Ensures accurate results and appropriate follow-up actions for questionable findings.
• Travel between Marlborough and Nashoba/Groton as scheduled for support.
