Community Health Systems, Inc. is seeking a Medical Technologist I to perform routine and high complexity laboratory tests on blood and body fluids under minimal supervision. This role ensures accurate and reliable test results by adhering to quality control protocols and maintaining laboratory instruments.

The MT I will support patient care by completing tests efficiently, troubleshooting equipment, and assisting in data collection for regulatory compliance. Phlebotomy duties may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology or related laboratory science.
• Licensure/certification as MT (ASCP/AMT/AAB) required or eligible.
• 0–2 years of acute care laboratory experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform moderate and high complexity lab tests with accuracy and timeliness.
• Follow quality control procedures and documentation.
• Conduct instrument function checks and preventative maintenance.
• Troubleshoot instrument issues and notify appropriate personnel.
• Ensure safety compliance and proper PPE usage.
• Collaborate with staff and communicate results clearly.
• Assist with proficiency testing and regulatory data collection.
• Perform phlebotomy as needed to support patient care.
