Job summary

Community Health Systems is seeking a Medical Technologist I to perform routine and specialty lab tests on blood and body fluids under minimal supervision. You will ensure accurate results, adhere to quality control protocols, and assist in data collection for regulatory compliance.

May include teaching and phlebotomy duties as needed. The role requires a Bachelor's in Medical Technology or related field, with CLT proficiency and 0–2 years acute care experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or in a related field is required.
• Passing score on the Clinical Laboratory Technology Proficiency examination approved by HHS (HEW) is required.
• 0-2 years of acute care experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs moderate and high complexity tests with accurate reporting and documentation.
• Adheres to QC procedures and performs data analysis, troubleshooting, and corrective actions.
• Conducts instrument checks and preventive maintenance per policies.
