Job summary

Concentra is seeking a Medical Support Specialist to join our Pittsburgh patient care team. You will support clinicians by preparing patients, taking vital signs, and assisting with procedures while ensuring a courteous, efficient patient experience.

In this role you will handle front and back office tasks, document accurately, and maintain HIPAA compliance. A medical assistant credential or relevant experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred or 1+ year of direct patient care experience
• State requirements and applicable regulations for credentials may apply
• Familiarity with HIPAA and patient confidentiality practices

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
• Prepare patients for physical examinations and take vital signs
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.)
• Assist providers during examination and treatment
• Handle front/back office clerical tasks and proper record keeping
• Maintain and calibrate medical devices and equipment
