Job summary

Concentra is hiring a Medical Support Specialist to perform routine medical procedures under clinician supervision and to support registration and referral management. You will prepare patients for exams, collect vitals, run rapid tests, and assist clinicians while ensuring a positive patient experience in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes accurate documentation, front/back office duties, HIPAA compliance, and ongoing training to maintain clinical competency and service excellence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship highly preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant, OR military medical specialist experience (must meet credentials in the state of employment)

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vitals and ancillary testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Triage emergent patients and perform routine medical procedures as ordered.
