Zusammenfassung

Concentra is seeking a Medical Support Specialist in Connecticut to join our patient care team. You will perform routine medical procedures under clinician supervision and support in front/back office tasks to ensure a smooth, high-quality patient experience.

Ideal candidates have a medical assisting credential or relevant patient-care experience, familiarity with medical terminology, and ability to handle fast-paced workflows while maintaining accuracy and privacy.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant, OR military medical specialist experience (must meet credentials in the state of employment).

Aufgaben

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations and ancillary testing including vaccines and injections, phlebotomy, PFTs, audiogram and respirator fit testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Triage emergent patients and perform routine medical procedures as ordered.
• Prepare and assist clinician with procedure setup and injury care.
• Apply bandages, dressings and splints as ordered.
• Dispense medications and DME as ordered in accordance with state regulations.
• Maintain supplies, clean rooms and equipment, and stock exam rooms.
• Document accurately and maintain medical records; perform front office duties as needed.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules.
