Concentra in Stratford, CT is hiring a Medical Support Specialist to join our patient care team. You will perform routine medical procedures under supervision, assist clinicians, and support in registration and referral management to ensure a smooth patient flow.

Qualifications

• Medical assistants should have completed an accredited program or have 1+ year direct patient care experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and DOT/non-DOT testing.
• Familiarity with HIPAA and patient privacy.

Responsibilities

• Perform Department of Transportation (DOT) and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required testing.
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.).
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Triage emergencies and support clinical procedures as ordered by the clinician.
• Prepare and assist with procedure setup and injury care.
