Job summary

Concentra in Stratford, CT is seeking a Medical Assistant to support clinicians and front office teams. You will perform routine medical procedures, collect vitals, conduct testing, and assist with exams while delivering a compassionate patient experience.

This role requires completion of an accredited medical assistant program or equivalent experience; familiarity with HIPAA, documentation, and occupational medicine helps. Training is provided and the environment is fast-paced.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant, OR military medical specialist experience.
• Knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
• Occupational medicine requirements (state specific) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including vital signs and ancillary testing.
• Assist providers during examination and treatment.
• Clerical tasks front and back office, proper record keeping.
• Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules.
