Job summary

Concentra, Inc. in Greer, SC is seeking a Medical Assistant to join our patient care team. The MSS performs routine medical and testing procedures under the clinician's supervision and supports in registration and referral management, ensuring high-quality care and a positive patient experience.

The role requires efficient, accurate one-on-one patient interactions in a fast-paced setting, with opportunities to grow through monthly clinical competency training and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited medical assistant program with externship highly preferred, OR at least one year of direct patient care experience as a medical assistant, OR military medical specialist experience (must meet credentials in the state of employment in accordance with state requirements and applicable regulations)

Responsibilities

• Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing
• Prepare patients for physical examinations, including taking vital signs and any required ancillary testing
• Perform rapid screening tests (influenza, strep, mono, glucose, etc.)
• Assist providers during examination and treatment
• Responsible for performing routine medical procedures as ordered by treating clinician and triaging emergent patients as needed
• Prepare and assist clinician with procedure setup and injury care
