Job summary

Mercy Hospital is seeking a Medical Staff Services coordinator to review and credential medical staff applications, support reappointments, and prepare board reports for the Board of Trustees.

The role involves developing department documents, staying current with CMS and Joint Commission standards, collaborating with hospital departments, and ensuring service standards are met. Bachelor's preferred; CPMSM/CPCS certs encouraged; strong computer and communication skills required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent with Bachelors Degree preferred.
• Experience: Medical Staff Services and credentialing experience required.
• Microsoft Office experience required.
• Skills, knowledge and abilities: Must be computer literate. Effective communication skills both written and oral. Effective project management to include problem solving and group facilitation skills. Excellent customer service. Strong attention to detail. Ability to multi task and demonstrate excellent organizational skills. Knowledge of healthcare services and regulatory standards beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and approves initial and reappointment applications, supports Medical Staff and prepares Board Report for Board of Trustees.
• Researches and develops department documents; maintains knowledge of CMS, OK State Health Department and Joint Commission standards.
• Collaborates with hospital departments to create agendas, record minutes, obtain and analyze clinical activity reports, and coordinate projects with leadership.
• Performs duties consistent with Mercy mission, values, and Service Standards.
