Job summary

Oak Street Health seeks a Medical Scribe to support primary care providers with real-time clinical documentation, observing visits, and preparing after-visit summaries. This role emphasizes accurate ICD-10 and CPT coding and contributing to value-based care through timely documentation.

Ideal candidates commit to 1–2 years, have medical terminology knowledge, strong listening and typing skills, and the ability to work full-time in clinics, with a focus on in-person collaboration and high-quality

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology and common medications.
• Prior clinical experience or shadowing preferred.
• Prior scribe or transcription experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Documenting patient encounters in real time with structured notes and proper coding.
• Assist with clinical documentation improvement and review opportunities.
• Administrative support and coordination with providers and care team.
