Job summary

Memorial Health System is seeking a Scheduler to support quality patient care by managing orders received by phone, fax, and electronic lists through the EMR. You will schedule multiple modalities, verify insurance, pre-register patients, and coordinate referrals to ensure smooth daily operations.

The role requires strong typing, communication skills, and proficiency with scheduling software and EMR systems. Excellent teamwork and ability to work in a high-volume clinic environment are essential.

Qualifications

• Typing speed and accuracy as part of daily tasks.
• Excellent written and oral communication in stressful situations.
• Comfort with medical terminology and computer use.

Responsibilities

• Schedule exams/visits across multiple modalities (PT/OT, Speech, Infusion, Radiology, etc.).
• Verify insurance, copay, or coinsurance; pre-register patients as appropriate.
• Handle referrals, incoming calls, faxes, and electronic lists in the EMR-based workflow.
• Coordinate procedures, retrieve and file orders, and manage clinic schedules.
• Maintain patient charts and office records; support practice management tasks.
