Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology for outpatient procedures.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Typing speed of 50 wpm or faster.
• Familiarity with hospital scheduling procedures.
• Understanding of coding, insurance verification, and pre-authorizations.

Responsabilités

• Operates a multi-line phone system with a high volume of calls, maintaining a calm, professional tone.
• Coordinates scheduling and insurance verification based on patient/physician requests and pre-procedure prep.
• Provides accurate information on patient preparation and any special instructions.
• Gathers necessary information for pre-registration, insurance verification, and pre-authorizations.
• Enters scheduling data into the system and manages multiple scheduling books with complete information.
