Job summary

DRH Health in Duncan, OK is seeking a Scheduler to coordinate referrals from physician offices and schedule patients for Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Cardiology, Imaging Center, Diabetes Education, Sleep Center and Surgery. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Customer service experience required; strong communication skills.
• Previous scheduling experience in a medical setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate scheduling for Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Cardiology, Imaging Center, Diabetes Education, Sleep Center, and Surgery.
• Answer scheduling lines in a prompt courteous manner.
• Provide procedure preparation information to staff or patients.
• Obtain clinical notes at scheduling for pre-certification and cardiac clearance.
• Maintain a positive rapport with physicians' offices and staff.
• Enter patient demographics and billing information into Meditech.
• Document all interactions to keep DRH staff informed.
• Ensure orders are valid and include required information.
• Distribute orders via fax to the correct department or counselor.
• Keep financial counselors informed of urgent situations.
• Maintain organized pending files and follow up on appointments.
• Adhere to DRH safety standards and vaccination requirements.
