Job summary

Trinityhealth is seeking a Central Scheduler for Saint Francis Hospital to join our Patient Access team. The role involves scheduling outpatient diagnostic testing, assisting with billing for reimbursements, and aiding with outpatient registration processes.

You will interview patients for testing documents, manage intake and insurance forms, and handle routine office equipment and software tasks. The position includes day shifts and a Monday–Friday orientation period in Springfield, MA for

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years clerical experience in a medical field preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and confirm patient diagnostic testing appointments and provide testing requirements and instructions to patients.
• Interview patients to obtain and/or complete testing documents, medical case histories, and forms such as intake and insurance forms.
• Operate office equipment and computer systems including databases, word processing and spreadsheets.
• Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff.
