Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Scheduler to coordinate inpatient and outpatient procedures across facilities. You will manage provider schedules, communicate with patients and physicians, and ensure preauthorization and proper scheduling of rooms, equipment, and medications.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in a medical or healthcare setting required.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and reschedules patient procedures, tests, surgeries, and exams across multiple facilities.
• Coordinates surgery and procedural schedules with physicians, hospitals, and departments. Ensures room availability; required equipment, and medication are arranged prior to procedures.
• Maintains and leverages strong working relationships with patients, providers, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure a positive patient experience.
• Adapts to various changes and updates scheduling systems promptly.
• Informs patients with appointment details including date, time, location, and preparation instructions. Schedules follow-up appointments as directed by physicians.
• Reflects Trinity Health mission and values in daily practice and decision-making.
