Avera Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine Sioux Falls is seeking an organized scheduler to support the department. The role involves handling prior authorizations, scheduling pre-operative physicals, and coordinating referrals with insurance providers.

Responsibilities include maintaining the surgery schedule, coordinating communications with physicians and departments, and ensuring accurate documentation and compliance. A positive, patient-centered approach is essential in a multidisciplinary team.

Formación

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties.
• Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds.

Responsabilidades

• Obtains information from physician offices for scheduling tests, procedures and admissions accurately and timely.
• Coordinates care plan for patients with various hospital departments and clinics.
• Coordinates utilization of telemedicine to ensure continuity of care if applicable.
• Communicates information to physicians, staff and families professionally.
• Assists with collection and maintenance of records for compliance and accreditation.
• Coordinates scheduling of specialized equipment based on procedures.
• Maintains physician calendar and procedure schedule and coordinating orders.
