Job summary

Avera Heart Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD is seeking a scheduling coordinator to manage centralized scheduling for cardiology teams and procedures. The role includes handling patient calls, referrals, and EMR-based data entry across multiple systems.

The ideal candidate will have a High School diploma with preferred Associate degree and hospital operations experience. The position is Monday–Friday, 8 am–5 pm, with full-time hours and on-site work.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Associate degree from an accredited university/college preferred.
• Experience in medical office, clinic, or hospital business operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate centralized scheduling for the NCH cardiologists, APPs and surgeons.
• Answer incoming patient and referring office calls; process electronic referrals.
• Handle clinical workload requests and voicemail follow-ups.
• Data entry of single to multiple appointments across multiple EMR modules.
• Instruct patients prior to procedures according to guidelines.
