Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• High School or GED equivalent.
• Associate’s in medical secretarial school.
• 1–3 years experience as a scheduler, biller, or in a medical office.

Responsibilities

• Schedule appointments for new and existing patients.
• Coordinate comprehensive scheduling for labs, infusion, imaging, procedures, surgeries, and telemedicine.
• Facilitate referrals and collaborate with Avera’s network to support continuity of care.
• Guide patients through complex treatment plans and ensure a smooth care experience.
• Maintain accurate surgery and appointment calendars and assist with related documentation.
