Job summary

Townsen Memorial Imaging - Spring is seeking a Full-Time Scheduler to join the team. The Scheduler coordinates patient appointments and communicates with patients via calls or email, ensuring smooth scheduling and accurate records.

The role requires attention to insurance details, pre-authorization processes, and collaboration with providers. A high school diploma and at least one year in a medical facility are expected, with BLS certification preferred.

• Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT codes and medical procedures
• Ability to review and comprehend patient medical documentation
• Ability to independently identify and understand medical necessity requirements

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient appointments and maintain proactive communication via calls or email.
• Determine co-payments, co-insurance and deductibles and enter insurance data.
• Prioritize authorization requests and assist with denials/appeals.
• Assist with pre-authorization processes and submit required documents.
• Schedule and reschedule procedures and follow-ups as needed.
• Provide patients with information and instructions before procedures.
• Submit patient information for verification and pre-authorization.
• Respond to patient inquiries and maintain accurate patient records.
