Job summary

Townsen Memorial Imaging - Spring is hiring a full-time Scheduler to coordinate patient appointments and maintain proactive communication with patients via calls or email. The role includes handling co-payments, insurance details, and pre-authorizations while ensuring accurate records.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year in a medical facility, is BLS certified, and can work independently within a team. Benefits include multiple medical plans, dental, vision, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of in-network and out-of-network insurance and patient financial responsibilities.
• Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT codes and medical procedures.
• Ability to review and comprehend patient medical documentation.
• Ability to independently identify and understand medical necessity requirements.
• Strong task management and organizational skills with attention to accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient appointments while maintaining proactive communication with patients via phone or email.
• Determine co-payments, co-insurance, and deductibles and enter insurance details into patient records.
• Prioritize authorization requests and assist with appeals for denied authorizations.
• Provide patients with essential information before procedures and schedule follow-ups as needed.
• Update and maintain accurate patient information in the database and submit data for pre-authorization.
