Job summary

ULP - Cardiology Associates in Louisville, KY is seeking a Medical Scheduler to support staff and physicians by scheduling follow-up appointments and necessary tests. The Scheduler provides direct patient interaction across all ages, ensuring clear instructions and coordinating necessary steps.

Responsibilities

• Schedules follow up/return visits to our office for patients
• Obtains appropriate pre-certification and pre-authorizations, as needed
• Schedules medical tests and procedures for patients
• Discusses patient instructions for procedures with patient so patient has clear understanding of what is expected
• Calls patients to schedule procedures and give instructions over phone with follow-up letter with instructions
• Uses Epic, Centricity Business, online paging systems and retrieves information from other hospital systems
• Maintains compliance with all company policies, procedures and standards of conduct
• Complies with HIPAA privacy and security requirements to maintain confidentiality at all times
• Performs other duties as assigned
