UofL Health in Kentucky is seeking a Medical Scheduler to support staff and physicians by scheduling patients for follow-up visits and necessary tests and procedures. The Scheduler acts as a part of the healthcare team with responsibilities that com­mensurate with educational preparation and demonstrated competencies.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years scheduling in a multi-specialty clinic preferred.

Aufgaben

• Schedule follow up visits and return visits for patients.
• Obtain appropriate pre-certification and pre-authorizations as needed.
• Schedule medical tests and procedures for patients.
• Discuss patient instructions for procedures so patients understand expectations.
• Call patients to schedule procedures and provide instructions by phone and follow-up letters.
• Use Allscripts, Centricity Business, and online paging systems; retrieve information from other hospital systems.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and exhibit friendly, helpful behavior.
• Other duties as assigned.
