Job summary

Koch Foods, Inc. is seeking a Safety & First Aid Officer to provide on-site medical response, maintain confidential records, and conduct post-offer testing and screenings on the third shift. You will lead monthly safety meetings and ensure compliance with safety policies in a manufacturing setting.

The role requires EMT license, CPR/First Aid certification, and OSHA training. Strong organizational and communication skills are essential for success in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• EMT license is required.
• CPR and basic first aid certification required.
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certifications are preferred.
• Safety experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and treat work-related injuries. Conduct safety inspections and ensure compliance.
• Maintain confidential medical records and perform drug testing as required for post‑offer employment.
• Schedule hearing tests and conduct random screenings; lead monthly safety meetings.
• Enforce safety policies and participate in incident investigations as needed.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Frequent utilization of office equipment and/or computers.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout shift.
• Exposure to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).
• Expose to wet and cold environment.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
