Job summary

Koch Foods, Inc. on 3rd shift is seeking a Health & Safety Specialist to provide first aid, manage medical records, and uphold safety compliance in a busy production facility.

You will conduct post-offer drug testing, arrange hearing tests, and lead monthly safety meetings while maintaining confidentiality and supporting a safe, efficient operation.

Qualifications

• EMT license required.
• CPR and Basic First Aid certification required.
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certifications preferred.
• Safety experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and treat all work-related injuries.
• Perform daily safety inspections to ensure compliance.
• Conduct confidential medical record maintenance and post-offer drug testing.
• Schedule hearing tests and coordinate random screenings as needed.
• Lead monthly safety meetings and promote a safe working environment.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Frequent utilization of office equipment and/or computers.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout shift.
• Exposure to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).
• Expose to wet and cold environment.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
