Job summary

Koch Foods, Inc. is seeking a safety and first aid professional for a 3rd shift role in a manufacturing setting. You will provide immediate medical care, enforce safety standards, and maintain confidential medical records.

This role includes coordinating drug testing, hearing assessments, and periodic safety meetings to support a safe work environment. Ideal candidates will have an EMT license, CPR/First Aid certification, and OSHA training.

Qualifications

• EMT license required.
• CPR and Basic First Aid certification required.
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certifications preferred.
• Safety experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and treat all work-related injuries.
• Perform daily inspections ensuring safety compliance.
• Maintain and protect medical records with utmost confidentiality.
• Conduct drug testing for post-offer employment testing, schedule hearing tests, and provide random screening as needed.
• Conduct monthly safety meetings.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent utilization of office equipment and/or computers.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout shift.
• Exposure to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).
• Expose to wet and cold environment.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
