Job summary

Koch Foods, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Safety Officer for the 3rd shift to provide first aid, treat injuries, and ensure safety compliance on site.

You will maintain confidential medical records, coordinate post-offer drug testing and hearing assessments, and lead monthly safety meetings within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role requires EMT certification, CPR/First Aid, OSHA awareness, and strong organizational and interpersonal skills to manage safety programs and daily

Qualifications

• EMT license required.
• CPR and Basic First Aid certification required.
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certifications preferred.
• Safety experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and treat work-related injuries.
• Perform daily safety inspections ensuring safety compliance.
• Maintain medical records confidentially.
• Conduct drug testing for post-offer employment testing and schedule hearing tests.
• Provide random screening as needed.
• Conduct monthly safety meetings.
• All other relevant duties to the job.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Frequent utilization of office equipment and/or computers.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout shift.
• Exposure to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).
• Expose to wet and cold environment.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
