Job summary

Koch Foods, Inc. is seeking a Safety Officer for the 3rd shift in Tennessee. You will provide first aid, inspect for safety compliance, confidentially manage medical records, and conduct drug testing, hearing tests, and random screenings as needed.

Monthly safety meetings are held, and other duties related to maintaining a safe work environment will be assigned. Requires EMT license and CPR/First Aid certification with manufacturing safety experience.

Qualifications

• EMT license required.
• CPR and Basic First Aid certification required.
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certifications preferred.
• Safety experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and treat all work-related injuries.
• Perform daily inspections ensuring safety compliance.
• Maintain medical records confidentially.
• Conduct drug testing for post-offer employment testing, schedule hearing tests, and provide random screening as needed.
• Conduct monthly safety meetings.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent utilization of office equipment and/or computers.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout shift.
• Exposure to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).
• Expose to wet and cold environment.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
