Job summary

Koch Foods, Inc. is seeking a Safety Officer for the 3rd Shift to provide first aid, manage workplace injury treatment, and ensure safety compliance.

The role includes maintaining medical records, conducting post-offer drug testing, scheduling hearing tests, and leading monthly safety meetings. The ideal candidate will hold an EMT license with CPR/First Aid certification and have safety experience in manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• EMT license is required.
• CPR and Basic First Aid certification are required.
• OSHA 30 and OSHA 10 certifications are preferred.
• Safety experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
• Excellent organizational skills are essential.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and treat work-related injuries.
• Perform daily safety inspections and ensure compliance.
• Maintain confidential medical records.
• Conduct drug testing for post-offer employment.
• Schedule hearing tests and conduct random screenings as needed.

Requirements

Physical Requirements

• Frequent utilization of office equipment and/or computers.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
• Exposure to noise (>85 decibels), CO2, and moving production lines.
• Ability to stand and/or walk throughout shift.
• Exposure to heat (99°F, 37°C) and cold (45°F, 4°C).
• Expose to wet and cold environment.
• Work around live and/or raw animal odors.
