Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare documentation standards, and privacy regulations.
• RHIT/CEHRS/AHIMA/APAC certifications may be preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process medical records from various sources and maintain records in Linx environment.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient/provider information accuracy.
• Verify completeness and timeliness of medical documentation.
• Review records for consistency and regulatory compliance.
• Respond to requests for medical records from providers, auditors, and insurers.
• Manage record retention and destruction schedules.
• Assist with audits, quality assurance, and compliance reviews.
• Safeguard patient privacy at all times.
• Collaborate with clinical/administrative staff to resolve discrepancies.
