HealthNet is seeking a Medical Records Specialist to collect, process, and analyze health information across paper and electronic records. The role emphasizes confidentiality and adherence to privacy regulations, supporting patient care and research.

You will help develop workflows, manage record retention, and coordinate information release with centers and vendors, while ensuring quality service and timely access to records.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• RHIT certification or equivalent HIM coursework preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a healthcare office or medical records setting preferred.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).

Responsabilités

• Collect, process, retrieve, analyze, and disseminate health care information/medical records for patient care, research, process improvement, training and decision making.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to government and accrediting body guidelines.
• Release of information to ensure efficient operations and quality of service.
• Coordinate with health centers, patients and vendors for release of information requests and obtain required signatures.
• Perform quality control audits to ensure privacy and clinical data accuracy.
